Arkansas Supply, Inc., was established in 1955 at 425 Gum Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas (see picture of old site below) as a wholesale plumbing and heating supply company by the former owner, T. B. Williams, of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Robert M. Wright, Jr. (present owner) started working with the company in 1956 when he was just fifteen years old.
In 1971, company officials appointed Robert Wright as the general manager, and T.B. Williams retired. Robert turned things around, increasing sales by 20 percent that year and continuing to grow the company year after year. He did so by increasing inventory, providing better service, more effectively filling and completing orders and offering the best prices and fastest delivery service in town. This policy worked then and remains in effect today.
In 1996, Robert became the sole owner of the company and his goal was to maintain the same processes and procedures that had been used in the past. The company continued to grow and Robert recognized the need to construct a new building. In December 2007, they moved to the new location on three acres of land located at 1100 East 12th, North Little Rock, Arkansas (see picture of new building above). The company grew from approximately 10,000 sq. ft. housed in three buildings at two diferent locations five miles apart to one location with approximately 35,000 sq. ft. This transition made the business the newest and largest Plumbing Supply building in Arkansas.
